TLV70718DQNR Overview

The TLV70718DQNR is a 1.8-V fixed-output low-dropout linear regulator from Texas Instruments. It is designed for power-sensitive applications requiring low quiescent current, low noise, compact size and reliable voltage regulation.

The device operates from a 2.0 V to 5.5 V input supply and supports up to 200 mA of output current. With a typical quiescent current of only 25 µA, the TLV70718DQNR is suited to battery-powered and low-power electronic systems.

The TLV707 family provides a typical output accuracy of 0.5% and high power-supply rejection. TI specifies 70 dB typical PSRR at 100 Hz and 50 dB at 1 MHz, helping reduce supply ripple and noise reaching sensitive downstream circuits.

The regulator is stable with an effective output capacitance as low as 0.1 µF and regulates to the specified accuracy even with no output load. This allows compact designs with reduced external capacitance requirements while maintaining stable operation.

Integrated thermal shutdown and overcurrent protection help protect the device during abnormal operating conditions. The TLV70718DQNR also includes an enable input for controlled power-up and shutdown.

Unlike the TLV707P variants, the standard TLV707 device does not include the active output-pulldown function. The TLV70718DQNR is therefore a suitable choice where a compact low-IQ LDO is required without active output discharge.
